Megan Fox, the bombshell with attitude, has morphed into a doting mum with a wicked sense of humour. We chatted to our March cover girl about her latest movie role, raising her son and hot hubby Brian Austin Green.
Wearing a Victoria Beckham dress the actress, who’s starring in Judd Apatow’s new comedy, This Is 40, told us that now she’s a mother to baby Noah, she finds it difficult to step into professional mode. ‘It’s very hard for me to do this stuff, because I feel like this isn’t my job any more. My job is to be with him.’
By becoming a mother, Fox told us that she had fulfilled her life-long dream. ‘All I wanted to do my whole, whole life was have a baby and, now, I’ve finally done it. I just want to give Noah as much of myself as I can.’
The beautiful star, wearing Roland Mouret, admitted she’s relaxed when it comes to her career path in Hollywood, saying: ‘I’ve never been validated by work or fame of Hollywood or any of that.’
Striking a pose in a Dolce & Gabbana jumpsuit, Megan also gushed about husband Brian Austin Green, who was also at the Marie Claire shoot in Los Angeles and made a few of the team a little weak at the knees! She said: ‘I believe he’s my soulmate. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t take work, because we are very, very different.’
Sprawled out in Burberry Prosum, Megan explained what a profound effect motherhood has had on her. ‘I can’t watch the news any more. Everything makes me cry. Because everyone is someone’s child, every woman seems like someone’s mother. I have so much more patience for people and women in general.’
Having met husband Brian at the age of 18, the actress doesn’t regret spending her clubbing years ‘at home with Brian.’ She added: ‘Maybe it’s just because I don’t know any different.’
The March special fashion issue is available to buy from newsstands Thursday 31 January.
Megan has been added to the list of Golden Globe Awards presenters! The show airs this Sunday on NBC at 8 PM ET. Check back here for pictures and updates during the event!
New mom Megan Fox is going all out to celebrate newborn son Noah Shannon’s very first Christmas. Among the ways she’s decking the halls at home? She and Noah are grooving to some festive holiday tunes.
“I like Michael Buble’s Christmas album — I know that’s cheesy,” Brian Austin Green’s wife, 26, told Us Weekly at a press junket for her new film This Is 40. “My baby likes him too so we’re into that — he’s a smooth crooner.”
Welcoming her son in late September, Fox has called motherhood “overwhelming,” but tells E! News she can’t get enough of her son’s latest milestones. “He’s getting to that place where he’s smiling and he’s almost ready to laugh, and I can’t wait for that baby laugh that almost makes you feel like you can fly, like your heart’s going to explode,” says Fox, who also helps raise Green’s son, Kassius, 10, from a prior relationship with actress Vanessa Marcil.
Appearing in This Is 40 opposite Leslie Mann and Paul Rudd, Fox admits motherhood has also heavily impacted her career, given that she now more carefully considers the roles she intends to take on. “It changes your perspective about being overly sexual in a film when you have a baby,” the actress recently told the U.K.’s Mirror.
“I’m going to be more cautious about choosing films because I’m already thinking about when he’s in school and his friends are going to be showing him my photo shoots with me in a bikini and he’s going to be horrified.”
When it came to welcoming her first child, Megan Fox was prepared for the delivery to be a labor of love.
But, one contraction later, and the actress’s dreams of being drug-free went out the window.
“It hurts so bad. It was so intense,” Fox, 26, told Access Hollywood during a press junket for her new movie, This is 40.
“And I thought I was gonna be really tough and make it, I was gonna labor to like eight centimeters … but the first contraction I got was horrific!”
And with the pain level shooting sky-high from the start, Fox wasn’t shy about voicing her demands for medication to husband Brian Austin Green.
“I was screaming for an epidural when [Brian] was driving me to the hospital because my water broke on its own and I was immediately — it was level orange pain alert,” she recalls.
But, despite the unbearable pain, the first-time mom wanted to feel (and look!) her best for her baby boy’s big arrival.
“I had wet hair so I was trying to blow dry my hair before I went to the hospital because I didn’t want to go to the hospital with wet hair,” she explains with a laugh.
Fortunately, all the pain — and primping! — paid off in a big way when the couple welcomed now 10-week-old Noah Shannon.
“It’s exhausting, but it’s amazing and you can’t — until you have kids — imagine how much you could possibly love a human being,” she shares of her “super cute” son.
“It’s really intense and really overwhelming and amazing.”
Brian Austin Green isn’t the only man who’s tamed Megan Fox’s wild ways.
The “This is 40″ actress’ son Noah Shannon is helping to keep the one-time Sexiest Woman Alive in check these days, Fox told E! News.
“The whole thing has been overwhelming because I didn’t realize you could love something so much, and I know people always say that but I love him so much it hurts,” Fox said, “and it’s an interesting feeling to have because I never felt that before.”
“He’s getting to that place where he’s smiling and he’s almost ready to laugh, and I can’t wait for that baby laugh that almost makes you feel like you can fly, like your heart’s going to explode.”
Fox, 26, and husband Green, 39, welcomed baby boy Noah into the world on Sept. 27 after keeping a relatively low profile during her pregnancy.
And already, in the just over two months since Fox has taken on the role of “mom,” the once-racy actress is seeing a shift in the way she approaches life – and her work.
“It changes your perspective about being overly sexual in a film when you have a baby,” she told the UK’s Mirror in a recent interview. “I’m going to be more cautious about choosing films because I’m already thinking about when he’s in school and his friends are going to be showing him my photo shoots with me in a bikini and he’s going to be horrified.”
Even Noah’s name is a Biblical reference, Fox explained.
“I went through a stage in my early 20s when I was very rebellious against how I was raised and I wasn’t worried about faith or religion but now, maybe because of getting married and wanting to have a family, I’ve come back full circle,” she told the paper.
Megan Fox isn’t in any hurry to get her pre-baby body back after the Sept. 27 birth of her first son, Noah.
“I only gained 23 pounds when I was pregnant and I’m still 10 pounds heavier, but I don’t want to kill myself trying to get back into shape because it’s not a priority right now,” she says in the Dec. 7 issue of the U.K.’s Daily Mirror. “I’m too in love with Noah and I don’t want to be away from him. I just want to be home.”
Fox, 26, also explains why she and husband Brian Austin Green, 39, recently decided to hire a nanny. “Having an infant is difficult. It’s a lot of work and I didn’t hire any help because I overestimated my own abilities. I had no idea how difficult babies could be, so Brian and I were exhausted,” the star of This Is 40 says. “You never sleep and you’re awake all night and your entire life is devoted to this little thing that needs you constantly. And I love it. It’s what I’ve wanted to do since I was a little girl.”
The new mom continues, “I always wanted to mother things and I constantly had a doll I was taking care of. I don’t receive the same satisfaction from my career as I do from being a mother so I’m really happy. But two weeks ago I said to Brian, ‘We have to get a night nurse or we’re going to get a divorce because someone’s got to sleep in this house or we’re going to kill each other.’”
Fox — stepmom to Green’s son Kassius, 10 — tells the Daily Mirror that she’ll be shying away from sexier roles now that Noah is in her life. “It changes your perspective about being overly sexual in a film when you have a baby. I’m going to be more cautious about choosing films because I’m already thinking about when he’s in school and his friends are going to be showing him my photo shoots with me in a bikini and he’s going to be horrified,” the actress says. “So that will deter me from making some of the choices I made before.”
Of course, Fox’s wild days are far behind her. “I went through a stage in my early 20s when I was very rebellious against how I was raised and I wasn’t worried about faith or religion,” the Jennifer’s Body star admits. “But now, maybe because of getting married and wanting to have a family, I’ve come back full circle.”

Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox are counting their lucky stars — or at least one particular starlet.
Confirming they had welcomed their first child together, son Noah Shannon, three weeks after his birth, the actor attributes the couple’s ability to keep the news under wraps to one woman: Reese Witherspoon.
“I’ve been wanting to send Reese Witherspoon flowers for, like, a month and a half now, ’cause she actually gave birth [the same day as] us in Santa Monica,” Green told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show Tuesday.
“We were lucky enough to go in at 2:30 in the morning to the hospital and nobody knew.”
After spending two days there, the proud parents learned that Witherspoon had welcomed a son. The media was too entangled in the actress’s breaking news to notice the Fox-Greens had also added a brand new baby boy to their family.
“We got out of the hospital and nobody knew. We got home and thought, ‘This is unbelievable.’ We weren’t expecting to be able to get away with it. We were expecting all the [paparazzi] guys in the hallways and the parking structure,” the Wedding Band star shares.
“So we just figured we would go with it as long as we could. Until [E! News] found out first and we thought, ‘Okay, let’s put something on Facebook then.’”
Already dad to 10-year-old son Kassius Lijah, Green didn’t think much of becoming a father again a decade later. The arrival of Noah, however, quickly snapped the actor back to reality.
“I really felt young for my age until my new son was born. I’ve never felt so 40 in my life,” he jokes. “He’s really good — he sleeps but it’s only in three hour increments.”
And it’s those late-night wake-up calls that has the doting dad beat. “You get about three hours and then he’ll fuss about something,” he explains. “First you spend 10 minutes figuring out where you are, then you realize, ‘I’m home and it’s my child.’ Then you figure out what’s wrong — a diaper or hungry.”
The actress and her husband, Brian Austin Green, welcomed their first child together, a boy named Noah Shannon, on September 27, Us Weekly confirms. Fox broke the news herself via Facebook.
“We have been very lucky to have had a peaceful few weeks at home,” the actress wrote. “He is healthy, happy, and perfect.”
She added, “We are humbled to have the opportunity to call ourselves the parents of this beautiful soul and I am forever grateful to God for allowing me to know this kind of boundless, immaculate love. Thanks to those of you who wish to send your positive energy and well wishes. May God bless you and your families abundantly.”
Fox, 26, and Green, 39, began dating in 2004 after meeting on the set of Hope & Faith. After a two-year engagement, the couple split briefly split in 2009 after a two-year engagement, but became engaged again in June 2010. The stars tied the knot on June 24, 2010 in a private Hawaiian ceremony.
Green has one son, Kassius, 10, from a previous relationship with actress Vanessa Marcil. When asked in March if she saw herself having children of her own, Fox gushed to Us, “Yes, I’ve always loved kids!”
“I want at least two, probably three [kids],” the Friends With Kids star told Cosmopolitan magazine in April. “I’ve always been maternal.”
And Green would agree. An insider told Us, “Brian knows that Megan is mom material. She is amazing with Kassius.”
